An app to remember
Catherine McNeill came to Reflex Studios in the summer of 2016 with the idea to create an app that makes it simple to notify friends and family about the deaths of their loved ones. Beautiful Life allows you to post funeral notices, memoriams, birthday notices or other occasions for those who have passed away.
A Brand to Notice
Death can be a sensitive subject so we needed to create an elegant and light brand that would represent the app. We decided that a butterfly was the right symbolic reference to use as it represents the deceased as a caterpillar who has evolved into a beautiful creature in the next stage of their life. A cursive font was used as it gives a modern feel while still retaining a sense of tradition.
Planning for Life
Using UI flow diagrams we mapped out the users journey start to finish - from first registering and adding their own notice to viewing notices posted by others and commenting their condolences. Our design team then used these flow sequences to create wireframes which we then turned into designed user interfaces. Finally we implemented these designs in code to create an easy to use, user friendly web application.

Two Stores, One App
Once we had the web app built, we extended it to Mobile. Creating both Android and iPhone apps. Beautiful Life is available for Download on the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store.
